I want to install quality iron sights on my Remington 700 SS 5R Milspec. I have 100 yard competition coming up with locals who are all good shots. No scopes/peeps. Want easy adjustment and good vision as my eyes are old now. Thanks for ideas/suggestions.
 
Is that a clean barrel (no holes tapped for front or rear sights)? That means putting a receiver sight on it, which means an aperture (peep) sight.
What kind of competition are they running where you can't use a peep sight?
 
these peeps fit right on scope tapped holes - way better than open sights

the 5D & FP would be better for precision on the range, but more likely to snag on brush in the field
