I'm 100% with you on that. Connery was best before Craig, more modern, more badass and that torture scene when his balls get kicked, that was just painful. From a comment Boris made:
Who is the best Bond?
I'm going to say
Flame on - I would have said Connery but IMO Craig was better. More badass.
Yes, but this is how the original books were intended to be.Glockaholic:2142473 said:It isn't a parody, it isn't a gadget movie, it isn't soft core porn with implausible plot lines, it is a good spy thriller.
Yeah. Daniel Craig is as close as anyone has gotten to being worthy of the name, but Connery is still the one true Bond. The Daniel Craig movies were trying too hard, Bond should always have that self-aware sense of humor. The last two didn't feel like Bond movies to me, they seemed like they could be any spy action flick. Almost like I was watching Jason Bourne or Taken.
I don't really blame Dalton for how those films turned out. I think there was a deliberate attempt by the creators to make Bond more serious, and Dalton ended up "eating" the consequences of that in the long term.I think Timothy Dalton sucks more than Moore. Dalton tried to make Bond all P.C
