So heres my Bass Pro rant.I wanted to purchase an Aimpoint Pro for my AR.I know I can get one online for a bit cheaper but I called BP 2 weeks ago on 10/23 and they said they had 2 in stock.I took a ride down there and it was packed with people purchasing firearms. You have to take a # at the gun counter.I grabbed a # but then asked an employee if it was necessary to have grabbed one if just purchasing an instock optic,he said yes it is.so now I had to wait while countless people in front of me did the whole firearms purchase. That doesn't make sense to me but whatever.Took an hour for my # to get called. Then salesman tells me he will go out back to find Aimpoint. Comes back to say cant find it.Said he will put my name on it when found.Called "store specialist" the next day and no sight in stock.WTF.So she tells me she will get one to the store. She tells me its coming "turbo" shipped.Wow that sounds fast.I mean if they put a term like "turbo" on it.So like 9 days go buy and they still don't know where the sight it is.I guess "turbo" doesn't mean what we would assume it does.So thurs. 11/3 they tell me,good news (**** the turbo shipped one)we are getting one fed exd from another store,overnight/next day.I assume that would be fri.Unless of course your dealing with the new Bass Pro meaning of words. So it wasn't there fri or sat.Now its Sunday and I guess Ill see if it arrives today.I told the store mgr. he should give me something off the price for the inconvenience but he said no can do.Is this a crazy story or what.Ive never had such a hard time with such a simple purchase.

No way I'd be giving them my busniess. Thanksgiving is coming, wait for the black Friday sales, last year you could get a tirjicon Ta33 for like $400 off. Timing is so close at this point.

Customer service is mostly non existent everywhere these days. I recently purchased a printer from Staples. The website sowed they had 2 in the store, I called to confirm and the girl told me yes that is correct. I went to the store to buy it and the sales guy told me they didn't have it. I asked why online showed 2 and the clerk confirmed it on the phone. He told me she probably looked on line the same as I did. He informed me they did have 2 in store. The display model and one that was damaged in shipment.
Fortunately the store is not far from my house or I would have really been pissed.

Unless you're getting a price break it's time to get it online. You can find 5 Star dealers selling this optic at lower then BP pricing all over the internet. I commend you for your patience, but I would have gone elsewhere as soon as they said it couldn't be found in the back....

Cabalas and bass pro have the worst customer service and the prices they charge are insane. Iv been to bass pro shops once and the new cabalas in Hudson 3 times. I won't be going out of my way to go back to either of them again. Iv had much better luck going to kittery trading post then either of the big stores.

My experience has been a bit different. Bass Pro was bad. As much as I like to wander and look, when I would need help no one could be found. Cabelas on the other hand has always been good for me. As packed as it was today I was approached 3 or 4 different times asking if I needed help. Each time the person was friendly and helpful when I had a question. I just hope they stay like that now that Bass Pro owns them.

bass pro is for twizzlers and fuddy clothes. don't purchase firearms or optics there. ever. go support a gun shop or online vendor before bass pro. buying ammo at bass pro one must be straight retarded their prices + selection are awful.

I never understood why people buy guns there. Their prices are terrible.

I completely agree with you on the prices there. I would usually never buy anything there unless it was a great deal. The prices are through the roof. When I called for the sight and they had it in stock( not really though) I figured it would be easy to just run up and grab it. I live in Mansfield so it was a short trip. Then when they said turbo I figured ok, short wait. Then they said next day so I was like ok. Now I'm just in it for the curiosity factor to see how long they would take. What a joke

I'd agree their prices are ridiculous, but I have yet to see any shop with more ammo selection besides Cabelas. It's 2 aisles of cabinets on both sizes! Most places I've seen barely have 1 of BPS cabinet's worth of ammo.

My wife works at the customer service desk at the front. You wouldn't believe the shit she puts up with from customers. She's had people try to return shit 5 yrs old, saying they bought it last week. She's had people throw crap at her, swear at her, and generally be rude. If you come to the desk acting like a dick, you'll get treated as you deserve.

Sure, it's a big chain store, so they have their policies. Some of the department staff are good, some aren't. Don't like it, too bad.. shop somewhere else.. Remember, they want you coming back and spending money, so if they can make you happy, great.

That being said, if you truly have a problem, and need something that the customer service desk can help you with, ask nicely and cut them some slack. People are quick to be rude to retail workers when they don't get their way. Remember, that's somebody's mom, dad, sis, brother, etc.

Sat. Am I went to Bass Pro because my bow string came off its cams. (I stepped on the string getting out of my stand)The guy behind the counter starts telling me how much he knows about everything. I tell him I've got an older bow to use till its fixed but he puts on his salesman act and tries to talk me into a cheaper type backup bow. A few seconds later he looks again at my cam on one limb and says he has to talk to his bow guru as he thinks my bow is messed up. He goes over and talks to the other guy and comes back and say " yep, we have to send this out, your cam wheel is out of line." I look at it , spin it back and forth and tell him no it's not, he says his guy knows a ton about bows and I just can't see what he sees. I said I'll call the manufacturer. Well long and short of it, BASS PRO SUCKS FOR BOWWHUNTERS. These idiots tried the hard sell on a backup bow, and tried to bambuzell me with our bow guru knows all and you bow is f'd. Ended up bringing it to a small gun shop, Outer Limits in Holbrook, they represent the bow manufacturer. These guys are good and honest. Guns or bows give the little guy your buisness !

People were buying guns at BPS? that's seriously fuffed up.

Besides the being $100 higher than anywhere else, they're douche nozzles.

Taking a number in BPS for a sight? Man I am already fully aware of this but I'll say it anyway, Mass is one "f'ed" up state!!!

What does a store's method of serving people in the order they arrive have to do with MA being an effed up state? Oh, right, NOTHING.

2 things:

1. Put a space after each period. That was painful to read.

2. I would've given up when they said they couldn't find it, and either gotten it online or gone elsewhere

and they record your phone number on the top of the 4473. NEVER again will I get a firearm from them, even if its free. Turdbags.

[crying] I have bought most my guns there. I see the way most people act while there, most get what they deserve, the world owes you nothing. Too much complaining, I watched the fishing site go downhill from the same thing.
