Bass Pro Cancelled!!!! CCW Fashion Show - Presented by GOAL and MWGO

Check out the first Q&A thing that shows up in google when you search Bass Pro.

And while you’re at it, notice that the latest headlines are all about BP being the last major retailer still selling “semi auto assault rifles.” The Sandy Hook families (ie the organized gun control movement) have apparently been going after their CEO for this. The grabbers are going after BP hard, and the CEO is talking to them. I hope he realizes which side of the debate keeps the lights on at BP stores.

Bass Pro CEO Holds ‘Constructive’ Talk With Sandy Hook Families

This very unfortunate for the planners, participants, and vendors who had committed to attending. I feel particularly aggrieved for the ladies of the MWGO group who are being told that they are not due the same respect demanded by @womensmarch types simply because MWGO ladies exercise their 2A right.

That being said when handed lemons make lemonade and this case it should be a particular bitter brew for BPS. I know it is cynical of me to say but there is an opportunity here to take a page from the SJW play book and fight back with all the hyperbole that they clearly used against MWGO.

Example Headline: Not all women are equal to Bass Pro Shops and their SJW allies

I really think MWGO should be the face of a push back and I would like to hear how they would like to be supported. My wife is a member of the group and expects that there will be further guidance later today via their Facebook page.

Twitter is a great tool but there needs to be a web page with a twitter link that can be broadcast via Twitter by individuals.

The page needs to put forward the narrative that MWGO/GOAL wants to propagandize, and yes I mean propagandize, the other side is doing no less.

The page should be simple to read and easy to navigate to and once in place folks should use the Twitter link to tweet, include in replies, and direct message folks who may be sympathetic.

The following is a list of Twitter handles for strong conservative woman that I follow on Twitter, they ladies all have considerable followings and folks here should consider making them aware of the way MWGO/GOAL has been disrespected by BPS and SJW bullies.

@KatiePavlich

@IngrahamAngle
@DLoesch

This is what I find so absolutely amazing. That a CEO of a huge chain of hunting and fishing equipment bends to a group of social justice warriors who have never and WILL NEVER spend money in his store.

I just posted the notice from GOAL and a link to this thread on the ARfcom MA and NH Hometown sub-forums.
Should probably ask to have that moved to GD, it's not going to get shit for attention in the MA hometown forum with all the tumbleweeds blowing by.

I would also add to the post that they say "Postponed" to cover their assess but have already told GOAL they would help them recover the costs of setting the event up because they have no intention of ever holding it now.

I'm not a huge twitter guy, but I just fired off a few tweets on this issue and hope that I get at least a few re-tweets. I've had luck in getting positive traction and responses when wronged by certain companies (airlines, cable, etc) and calling them out on it in a professional manner--publicly. Emails are good too--but easily ignored. With Twitter, there's no sweeping it under the rug. It's out there in the public domain.
We do have a chance to level the playing field with the gun-grabbers and liberal media who pervert the truth of 2A, firearms, and their supporters--ie US. Twitter, like it or not, is a battlefield that we have to show up on if we expect to have our voice heard and avoid being steamrolled by opponents of the 2A and everything that it protects.
If you have an account, please tweet--and be civil. The medium is a double edged sword. If you start ranting about "libtards" and socialist media and colorful descriptors for Warren, Healy, et al--you're going to wind up undermining our cause more than helping it by playing right into the "evil, gun nut" narrative purported by your opposition. I urge you to take the high road.
If you don't have an account, please consider signing up (no, I don't own stock in Twitter). Our adversaries are banking on the fact that we keep quiet in tacit admission that THEY are right, and that we're on the losing side of any argument because we're choosing to stay unengaged. We're either going to prove them wrong by speaking up and owning our narrative...or we're going to prove them right.
This. I just signed up for Twitter a few days ago and it's actually quite satisfying to be able to call out politicians on their BS publicly.

Damn; I'll take my lap.

Forgot I'd changed my settings a while back. Thanks for pointing that out. Should be good now.
Still private.

Also, any way to notify Dana Loesch about this, highlighting the #BassProHatesWomen
I've tweeted at her a couple of times about this. Also Shapiro, Crowder, Colion, Mike Knowles, Klavan, Hannity, Daily Wire, etc.

You are right but I never go to GD there, haven't in at least 10 years. I'll let someone else cross-post that. I will post it in the ARfcom Women's forum however if my power stays up here.

Knowing Twitter, most of our tweets are going to get buried and not shown. They control their pro-gun stuff pretty hard.

I follow you but that reply did not show up in my timeline, I had to go to your twitter replies page to view it.

I could be wrong but I believe if you had started it with any character other than the @ it would have been recognized as a tweet, not a direct reply, and broadcast as such. Example .@twitterhandle rather than @twitterhandle

You might consider now retweeting your own reply to broadcast it to your followers. ;)

P.S.> BPS would still see it but as a mention not a reply.

Good to know, thanks.

The more I think about this, the more angry I get. You know how antis always say something along the lines of "oh, we don't want to ban ALL guns, just the evil black ones"? This proves just how big of a lie that statement is. Here we have a fashion show organized by a women's rights group, centered very much around the idea that strong independent women should be able to defend themselves, and these pussy-hat-wearing morons boycott it. Not only is their brand of feminism a complete lie, it is also crystal clear now that the left IS coming for ALL the guns.

Hi Julie- Thought you might be interested to know the a sold out event co-sponsored by the Mass Women Gun Owners assoc. , and GOAL, the Mass. gun owners assoc. ,scheduled with plenty of lead time, to be held at the Foxboro MA. Bass Pro, which a lot of fine people put a lot of time and effort into, was cancelled by Bass Pro at the last moment, leaving both GOAL and MWGO holding the bag for ticket refunds and up front expenses. Although no real reason was given by Bass Pro, one of the "wheels" from GOAL has made it quite clear Bass Pro caved to anti pressure. I can only assume from this Bass Pro values neither Freedom, or empowering women . Thanks for reading this, we admire you as a person, a shooter and a strong symbol of American womenhood.

All well and good to send the protest letters to the news people et al, but Bass Pro needs to see more than that and a protest outside the stores. They need to see a direct financial impact from their cowardly actions. How about all of the people that had tickets go to the Foxboro store during the day on Saturday, load up shopping carts with as much merchandise as fits, go to the check out and realize that they had "forgotten" any method of payment and walk out, leaving the cart and all of the contents to be re-shelved by the innocent employees. Make sure that while doing this you let the store manager know the reason for the action. It is perfectly legal to not buy anything.

Wait a minute. The gun store cancelled a gun fashion show because guns??? time for a boycott - I would have to guess that a high percent of their clientele are gun owners, so we could probably make a dent.
