Personal Protection in the Home: This course teaches those who are planning to incorporate a firearm into their home protection plan the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for home defense. This course is for experienced shooters. The NRA Basic Pistol or passing a competency test is required for admission.
This course runs over two consecutive Saturdays. Students are required to be able to attend ALL classes - no exceptions! If you sign up for a class and cannot make it your deposit is held for attendance in a future class.

The NRA Basic Firearms Courses provide hands-on learning opportunities in the following areas: Safe firearm handling Firearm parts and operation Ammunition and its function Shooting fundamentals and an opportunity to develop them on the range How to select, clean and store a firearm Review of various activities available to help participants develop and improve their shooting skills.
