Basic handgun training for women?

The GF has expressed an interest in learning to shoot. She has never handled a gun. I thought we'd get a Ruger MkII for her to start with.

I recommended that she begin with top-grade professional instruction. I would appreciate recommendations for women-friendly or women-exclusive training at the noobie level.

American Firearms School in N. Attleboro is a good place to go. Its not necessarily "woman friendly" or "woman exclusive" but it seems like they make every effort to cater to the individual needs of a shooter regardless of experience level. They'll work with ya to get her all trained up. Personal training is reasonably priced as well.

i took my pistol class at hanson rod and gun--

i liked it a lot and was not the only female there.

they also gave me a discount on my membership
