The New Hampshire State Attorney General's office, obviously ruffled by Mass. politicians stating New Hampshire's lax gun laws are the cause of all the guns, crime, and violence in Mass.' inner cities, fired back.
After researching the facts(a novel idea), the AG's office found that few, if any, guns come from New Hampshire, or the other northern states. The fact is that most come from Georgia.
The usual "atta boy" for our NH AG's office, and a number of well placed jumbo "eggs in the face" to Mass. pols.

Wow, isn't that stretching it a bit? The fact is criminals will purchase guns illigally any way they can. Unlike us law abiding citizens.

Well, it's not really Georgia, but Atlanta. BATFE traces have shown that pattern for years. A lot of gang bangers up here have got family or friends in the Atlanta area, so they've always tended to ignore "lax" states such as New Hampshire or Vermont in favor of places where they've got contacts. It may reflect a racial profile, but the reality is that we don't have a lot of French-Canadian gangs (who might pass more easily for locals around Ossipee or St Albans) in Boston.
