Auto Ordnance 1911 for $420 @ fs

Great guns; made in Worcester and the quality has been getting better and better under Kahr. They just made the black oxide version MA-compliant (despite swearing they weren't going to even try) so if you don't like the very gray parkerized version, it may be up your alley. $420 is absurdly low, for a free state even.

Can you change the slide to get better sights?

Front sight is staked rear is dovetailed. Most competent gunsmiths can do this job (for cheaper than a slide, which are well fitted so you might open a can of worms). Either stake a better front sight or weld and mill a dovetail, and either slide in a rear sight or mill for Bomar/Henie/Novak/whatever.

Sold out on those according to the email they just sent out.
But now they have new Kel-Tecs Sub2000 for $399.

About time on the Sub2000 to hit its normalish price. Do they say what mags?
With a couple of shops closing around here, FS keeps up with awesome prices.
I have never been there but damn I wish they were closer.
But driving 3 hour round trip, to save $20-40 on a gun doesn't make sense.

The AO 1911 seemed like a great intro to 45. I'm sure they'll be back.
Good to see Sub2Ks back in stock. Waiting for Ruger to copy their idea and make it higher quality, like they've done with PF9 and 3AT [smile]

damn. i got the email @ 2pm. that was quick.
