auctionarms.com - I sometimes get nice gear, but only a few decent guns. It just seems like a very tough site to get a good deal. People like to esnipe for too much. However, their software is the best.

gunbroker.com - One of my favorite sites. Never had a bad experience here, but the prices are always a little high.

bluebroker.com - Still can't figure out if this site is real. The software is bad, but they have a good idea with the Zip code search (which does not work).

armsbay.com - What ever happened to this site?

Generally speaking, I seem to get snipped at the last second for a gun I am paying too much for in the first place. This is more so with lower priced guns that should be $90 not $250.

I get nervous often. Even people with good ratings scare me. This may effect business, yet I am watching out for number one. Not only to protect myself financially, but to also protect myself legally. I have read of horror stories of people sending / receiving guns without an FFL.

I am tired of seeing intentional miss listed products. I have no interest in buying a scope case, hitler stamps, or a bore checker when I am looking for a shotgun.

But still its alot of fun. I was hope to see that springfield armory for $50. As far as selling, do you think people would buy a SKS with a picture of Elvis in metal finish?

To corrupt a phrase from a movie....post it, they will come. [lol] [wink] I've used Auctionarms before to buy and sell. On the things I've bought, I'll put a max price in that I'm willing to spend on it. If I get it, great, if not, oh well. I like doing that because then I don't have to sit and watch a screen for the last 5 minutes of the auction. I usually wind up not getting it because I won't spend $$'s just to outbid someone if it's getting too ridiculas in the bids.

I've only bought supplies from these places. Never any guns.

I like to look up things in Gunsamerica. I find those to be a little truer prices. Yet I've never found anything thing on there that I wanted to buy. Things that I'm looking for are in MA, but they are dealers so they can't sell them in MA.

I agree completely. As my brother likes to say: "Any idiot can get something by spending too much for it. I'm looking for BARGAINS! "

I mostly bid on gun books on Ebay. If some idiot wants to pay too much for it, I let him have it. Another copy will be along sooner or later.

Regards
John

Agreed, there's never a short supply of ANYTHING on eBay.

???? Are firearms listed on e-bay, or just supplies.

No guns, no.

Parts, magazines, holsters, gunsmithing supplies, gun books, training videos, rifle scopes, knives, etc., yes.

I drool over some of the nice, collectable Randall knives that are there.

I'm gonna own me one or two of them, one of these days . . .
