Atlanta Shooting, 3 spas, 8 died (7 Asians)

Iā€™m still amazed at how a straight line Republican voter since 1980, party donor, NRA donor, is a liberal. I do support diversity initiatives in my gun collection.

Iā€™m not sure how posting here (gun guy echo chamber) is accomplishing your goal of not letting something stand. Not sure what minds you want to change. Pretty sure AOC and crew are not coming here for their daily affirmations. If itā€™s swing voters, I donā€™t see a lot of them here. If itā€™s gun guys, I suspect the majority of our votes are to the right. Even if we donā€™t all think the Donald was the best President ever.

Have a good day!
I will always remain hopeful that the "light" will come on with some and they realize that Donald J Trump's Presidency wasn't a popularity contest or a grade on where he ranked as President. Those who engage in such semantically irrelevant discussions allow themselves to become preoccupied in the classic distraction of which coconut shell is the peanut under while the Left is burning America to the ground.

In spite of my hopefulness I am disappointed from time to time.

Iā€™m 100% aligned with his policies and find it amusing that the current administration is stuck dealing with the same issues and has no better response.

Trumps personal behaviors and low-brow populist approach gained him enough support to sneak up on Hillary and pull off a victory. It was not a competitive or winning edge in subsequent elections. That bump did not offset the loss of educated, affluent,soccer-mom, Republican (even rino) votes who did not like or grew tired of his noise. His ā€œhowā€ undermined the value of ā€œwhatā€.

Iā€™m encouraged by the idiocy of progressive overreach now occurring. I think it will provide plenty of evidence to support a mid-term rebalancing and a return to politically divided government.

That's why I say the democrats will not get rid of the filibuster because the people will strike back when they ram left wing ideology down everyone's throats. I think the democrats are more worried about being in the minority again and finding themselves on the receiving end of stupid rules like Reid's nuclear option to push judges through. They stood by quietly and powerless for 4 years as Trump remade the entire judiciary replacing about 30% of the entire federal bench using the rules that they themselves created.

Trump was not defeated by Biden. He defeated himself. He could have handled the pandemic to his advantage. Instead he allowed Biden and various governors use it perfectly to their own advantage. He is in Florida now and not in Washington because he put himself there.

this is the democrats big chance to try to bring asians into the diversity fold after making them "less than qualified" for affirmative action for years. Next move will be to co-opt a tragedy that allows them to bring Indians into the fold.

Apparently, the dems are losing their hold on the hispanic vote despite, or perhaps because of, their open borders policy. Thus they have to create new factionalism that will allow them the draw more splinter groups into their web of deceit.

This post, and many others like it, are why I'm not sure we have the numbers on our side to save this country.

Except the lefties openly treat Asians like shit (yellow slavery for cheap imports is cool with them) and have been discriminating openly is school admissions fighting up to the doorstep of SCotUS to keep Asians out of the ivy league and exam schools.

Frost on the grass this morning ... F-ing Trump! F-ing old, white men!

Just about any adverse event that takes place in US or globally is linked back to Trump, GOP, Conservatives and old, white men within 24 hours.

ā€œMs. Dang attended the rally with her friend, Tei Li, 33, also of Atlanta. Both said that in the past year anti-Asian attitudes in the U.S. have grown worse, fueled by societal worries about the Covid-19 pandemic and remarks by former President Donald Trump, who they said exacerbated anti-Asian prejudice by blaming China for the spread of virus and referring to the virus as ā€œkung flu.ā€

Civil-rights groups have said the term was a racial slur. ā€œHe wasnā€™t the sole factor, but he was a huge factor,ā€ Ms. Li said of Mr. Trump.ā€

Kung Flu, China Flu, Wuhan Flu - racial slurs? Swine Flu, Chicken Pox, Cow Pox - species slurs?

Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln - names associated with cultural misappropriation and slavery?

But White Supremacist, White Nationalist, White Privilege - merely accurate descriptors?

Reparations, Equity, Re-education - all terms translated from murderously repressive Socialist and Communist counties into English.

I know the media is blaming the shooting on white supremacists. But why are you correlating white supremacists with all white people?
I didn't make the meme, I just reposted it.
But the average CNN-eating sheep doesn't draw a distinction between white supremacist and white conservative. The media creates a narrative and sits back while people run with it. The lines blur and it all becomes ammo for the War of Wokeness, when the herd of elephants in the room being ignored are decades of liberal policy failures pertaining to mental health, crime control and creating groups of victims to promote their agendas.

The whole racist angle of the Atlanta shooting is BS.
The media is telling a blatant lie and people lap it up like sheep dying of thirst.
If the women running those spas were white Polish women, the victims would have been white Polish women.
The shooting was totally about mental illness - not race.
Now is there human tracking in the "spa" industry - That's another issue....
