ATF To Join NYPD In Fighting New York City Gun Crimes

They interview a guy who is dissapointed that stop and frisk stopped. These idiots are literally begging to have their rights abridged. No surprise who they vote for either...
 
So the NYPD is a big fail since they cannot police their own city. That's a shame. I guess the super restrictive gun control ISN'T working. What a surprise......
 
Criminals don't stand a chance anymore. They should be shaking in their boots by now. Now, by combining forces, I guess NYPD and ATF just doubled their IQ, which should near room temperature (in Celsius).
 
So the ATF has what arresting power in these cases? Are they going to just bust federally prohibited people? Otherwise I don't see what authority they have to be involved in what are city-level or even state-level crimes.

Example: A non-PP possesses and fires a handgun within the city of NY. Why does the BATFE care about this?

I'll guess the ATF screwed up yet another sting operation and ended up dumping a bunch of guns into NYC. This is the cleanup effort.
