ATF May Soon Reclassify Some Machine Guns as “Post Sample” and Non-Transferrable

Sounds like massive lawsuit vs the government time. Shitloads of those Vollmer, S+H sears, etc.... probably easily millions of dollars in transferables there. Not to mention a shitload of pissed off rich guys. (basically you have to be loaded to afford one of these, because it's the price of a ****ing luxury car.) .Gov would be on the downhill of the case too , considering it had given these people stamps for the transfers etc.

Im afraid that they will do what they did to the Stemple M60s. The ATF reclassed many Stemple M60s as post-samples because their registrations were submitted late. ATF approved transfer to individuals but, after discovering their error, allowed the existing owners to keep the guns but mandated that any future transfers follow post-sample rules.

Yeah, the article made it sound like they might turn them into contraband, but that's not going to happen without a "takings" issue getting raised. Still, there's gotta be some legal ruminations here...

Thousands of dollars evaporating into thin air for the people who have those sears. Gotta love the ATF being able to flip the "legal" switch whenever they feel like it.
