... and was asked the requisite list of prying questions. I was so tempted to respond to "Do you feel safe at home?" with "Well, honestly, no, because I'm getting concerned about running out of ammunition." just to see what the reaction would be.

On a more serious note, they're really ladling on the mental health questions ("Do you feel sad?", "Do you ever feel depressed?", etc.). I would bet one of the kids (admittedly the one I don't like) that someone is going to get red flagged some day and those replies will end up on the record, HIPPA or not.

Up here in Maine we usually discuss shooting in the docs office, too. But it's like "any new calibers lately?" I can not tell you how refreshing it is to be living in a state where firearms are not the bain of life but accepted as part of daily life. My Doc bragged to me he shoots high-power in his back yard. I do too, as a matter of fact. So, to all those mamby pamby limp-wristed linguiny spinned nosey medical professionals, MYOB.

When they asked me the questions I looked at the tech who I've joked with for years and I asked her what kind of idiot says yes to any of these questions and her response was "you'd be surprised".

Answering in the affirmative to a mental health question or acknowledging you are feeling depressed makes you "an idiot"?

I never get asked any of those questions. My wife and daughter probably do.
I know my wife feels safe. I buy her guns. She now has more than I do.

"Do you feel safe at home?"

"NO! Are you soft? Do you know they did a study in the 60's in Toronto and found that people left in isolation suffer hallucinations within a day or two??? What are you people doing to get us back to normal???? The whole country is going bonkers from isolation over the last 11 months!"

You won't get locked up. You might get a guest spot on the next night's Tucker Carlson. ROFL!!!!

I was on a work call today with a couple of doctors and they have said that depression and other mental illnesses are spiking because of covid isolation. Many leftists are scared to death to even be outside because covid will sneak up behind them and kill them, so they hide in the basement, just like good uncle Joe. I swear some people are turning into the modern equivalent of Howard Hughes, except without the money.

Doctors. and their questions.
In 1982 I was killed in a car accident, on the day before release from the hospital, my father is visiting me, when the Hospital shrink comes in. Starts asking me questions, basically about what I can recall from my everyday life...addresses, phone numbers, etc. I answer each correctly, then he asks.."do you know what year it is?" I answer, 'it's '82 and Ronnie's President'.
The doctor motions for my Dad to come out of the room with him.. Dad comes flying back in the room and yells to me: "Stop F*cking around with these guys!!! He asked me if you were like this BEFORE the accident!!" [rofl]

.... well in the 60s they may have been doing acid too lol

Had surgery in mid December and all most fell out of the bed LMAO when they asked “do you feel safe at home” question.
I got asked this once when I was in the ED, My answers was " a lot safer than I feel here!" Apparently my attempt at humor was lost on them.

I literally just drove by a woman who was out walking her dog and as I passed her she reached up and pulled her mask up in a panic.
People need to turn the damn TV off .
The nightly fear porn is making them nuts.

I once brought my niece to the ER on a Friday night in Springfield. She got hurt at work.

As we entered the hospital, she made sure to point out the no gunz signs, which she knew I was ignoring. We were at the counter and the receptionist asked me to walk away so she could ask her some questions. I walked about ten feet away, and surveyed the third world waiting room. When she was asked if she felt safe, she answered she’d feel safer if she could have her uncle standing with her again.
