DEVELOPING – At least five people have been killed and several others wounded in a shooting late Wednesday in a suburb outside Pittsburgh, authorities said.

Lt Andrew Schurman of the Allegheny County homicide unit confirmed early Thursday that four women and one man were killed in the shooting at a house on Franklin Ave. Schurman said that police are searching for two gunmen and no one is in custody.

The shooting occurred around 11 p.m. and WPXI-TV reported that at least seven ambulances responded to the scene.

CBS Pittsburgh reported the incident may have taken place at a backyard party. A witness told the station she heard about 25 gunshots ring off. Another resident told WPXI-TV the area is usually quiet.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported that victims were taken to three Pittsburgh hospitals. The conditions of the victims have not been released.

Police officers from several departments are assisting the Allegheny County homicide detectives unit on the scene.

That would put it closer to a 12G shotgun slug, eh? Gotta love it when the media gets talking about guns.

What's next? Did this ".762-caliber rifle" also have 30 round ammunition magazine clips?
One of my all-time favorites was back when the media reported on the "Assault Revolver".....(meanwhile, the Gunbroker.com search feature probably got thousands of hits that day from people looking to buy one of those new "assault revolvers" that the bubble-heads had made mention of) .....
