From Scrappleface, recommending a ban on fully-automatic vehicles:

I fully support a ban on automatic transmissions. Driving an automatic transmission is like parking in a handicap spot. [wink]

Bolt action car lover here... [laugh]

Why do you "need" an automatic transmission? No one "needs" that much power... [rofl2]

Agreed. Think of how much better and safer the roads would be if people actually had to pay attention to what they were doing.

Try using a non-assault vehicle in Boston's stop and go traffic every, every, every day. In and out of the city. Your left thigh will become as big as "Ahnaaalds".

Big government again sticking its nose where it doesn't belong. At least they got the car-killing as more important as the gun-killing thing right.

    [rolleyes]

Is that the day he refuses to step down after a 90% Democrat Senate declares him "President for life" under the "permanent emergency code of 2010"?

    [rofl2]

Kidding of course... There's no need for a 90% Democrat Senate to accomplish that[sad2]

They absolutely respect the rights of commuters everywhere, but you simply don't need all that dangerous automation... These are military style transmissions designed for one thing - driving... There's just no need for this in peaceful society[rofl]

Australia's violent auto accident death rate did not drop when they baned high capacity, fully automatic, assault vehicles.

The day AFTER they pass that would certainly be the day the shooting starts.

Anybody that doesn't act by then, never will.

I used to feel that way until I broke my ankle and could only drive with one foot.

Then too, it's a bugger to drive a pickup truck pulling a heavy load using the 3 on the tree.

I will not take the automatic tranny out of my motorhome !

From my cold dead hands. I need that much power. I need my right had free for my coffee, my left hand free for the phone, and how am I going to steer with my left knee if it is constantly pushing on a clutch?!!![rolleyes] [wink]
