Armslist changing it up?

Got this email as a storefront vendor from Armslist and I am curious how this might change the landscape for Armslist. I doubt nearly as many people will be inquiring or reaching out given that change.

Armslist mandatory upgrade.

So I use Armslist as I'm still trying to unload my 1911 and today I find out that the site is requiring an account upgrade. Anyone know what sparked this sudden change?

If they just wanted to slow the scammers they could do a $1 CC verification charge / posting fee. Using a credit card it's now $7.99 month for membership up from zero?

As I’ve stated on the forum linked it hasn’t even stopped the scammers. It has actually given more spotlight to the scammers because they are essentially the only active posts that aren’t vendors.
