Armed robbery outside Northeast Philadelphia gun range

"For some reason the male perpetrator fired a single shot striking the 67-year-old on the groin," said Chief Inspector Small.

Insult to injury. Story sucks all around.

Leaving the range my guns are normally packed away in my trunk. Not anymore! I normally scan the parking lot before I head to my car anyway.

I don't know the circumstances, but this is one reason why I always CCW to and from the range.

I used to OC at my first gun club and caught crap from the FUDDs all the time about that. This is the exact reason.

I now CCW every time I am at a range - to and from.

I have often thought about this when leaving the range. I always CC anyway but the though of some dirt bag trying to get some easy guns has crossed my mind when leaving especially late at night.

I take my gun with me walking to the 100yd targets, never mind at an indoor range, in Philly, at night. my bag would have been in my left hand and my gun in my right.

Don't read the comments if you value your lunch.
