Are there any Walmart store in MA that sell ammo ?

Was in the Whittensville Walmart earlier today and the ammo cabinet was just about empty. A few boxes of shotgun ammo was all that was there. It's a sad site.

I think the Framingham Walmart stopped selling ammo for some reason.

I was in Quincy, MA Wal-Mart the other day and they definitely don't sell ammo.

It must be because they're too close to big population centers.[sad2]

Walmart sucks! They are cowering to the gun ban crowd like all the other big chain stores. It is my strong belief that they are phazing out all ammo sales.

Scary guns! It's for the children! Save the whales! Global warming! Somewhere an Indian is crying! Givea hoot! Don't polute!

I'll take Eddie Eagle over Woodsy the Owl ANYDAY!

I think the closer you get to the woods and hunting hotspots the more likely you are to see WMs that sell ammo. The one in Halifax was a great place to buy ammo, but it closed for renovations. The real test will be what the ammo counter looks like after the grand reopening.

On an aside, I bought a box of .223 at Dicks in Brockton the other day. As the young chippie was ringing me up, sirens were blaring outside as a cruiser whipped past. She handed me back my LTC saying "looks like they found you!" I stumbled in my mind for a few seconds about what the hell she was talking about, but the nervous giggles of the sheeple in line behind the "guy buying bullets" convinced me that she meant the coppers had found me, the gun-toting crazy man. I decided that a stern rebuke from me wasn't in anybody's best interest, so I just sighed and shook my head. Serves me right for buying at a big box store.

I was fortunate enough to wander into the Amherst, NH Walmart and they had boxes of Blazer Brass for $12.50 a box on weekend. Another weekend, they had 100rnd boxes of .45 ACP ($29.30) and 550rnd boxes of .22LR ($11). Needless to say, I bought my 6 max boxes of ammo those weekends.

I was in Framingham two nights ago, they had 1 box of white box .45 cal.

There were two guys that had already been waiting about 10 minutes that had asked FIVE different people for help. I waited with them for about 5 minutes, the box of .45 just calling to me, so I go over to the phone, pick it up, use the in-store paging system and call an associate to sporting goods for customer help.

About 2 minutes later a "happy smiley" (not) Wal Mart troll shows up asks how he can help, we tell him we want ammo, he looks at us and goes, "I don't have a key, you have to wait for somebody with a key". So, I ask him to get somebody with a key, he looks at me, takes off, totally disappears, never to be seen again.

Wait around another 10 minutes, nobody ever shows up, still waiting, finally another troll shows up, this one barely speaks English and also does not have a key, so I ask him to call somebody that does, he ignores me..

Wait around another 10 minutes, start wandering the store, looking for somebody, can't find anyone, keep circling back to sporting goods, it's deserted, nobody around except the non english speaker. Circle back around, finally get fed up, I love getting the good deal on ammo but the $5 dollar savings isn't worth 30+ minutes of my time, so I left.

Noticed on the way out, somehow the store was REALLY quiet, the front of the store was loaded with employees standing around talking to each other, leaning on counters, etc... Makes me wondering who is managing that store.

Never got the ammo but I did almost break the glass and help myself.

I've had to wait almost as long a couple of times. Only at that Wm though, never at the other ones - there's always someone at the counter elsewhere.
Supposedly the guy running the paint shaker machine has a key to the ammo case, or so he told me last time. He never came over to help (was busy shaking paint) so I tried 3 other people. Finally a manager came over and said "Sorry for the wait" and I said "It happens every time, I'm used to it."

For the last 4 years I was in Vermont and I would try whenever I could to buy ammo at Walmart but I could simply never be there when they had anything in stock. I spoke with an owner of a small gun shop in the area about it and what he told me was I guess not very surprising..

Apparently one of the gun shops in the area would simply scout out when the ammo would be coming in, rush in and grab it all. Then proceed to mark up the price and resell it. That is some slimy dealings [angry]

Danvers sell it, but they always sell out fast.

NH seems to be a whole other animal from Mass as far as what is on the shelves. I went to NH for the weekend, and both the Tilton and Gilford stores had great selections, I picked up some .40 and .38, also saw .44, .357 Mahnum, .357 Sig, and a large selection of rifle and shotgun ammo. If anyone is looking for some of this stuff, call some of the NH stores, might be worth your effort. No tax either.[smile]

Nothing slimy about it. It's standard business practice. I relayed a story from 35 years ago where (in CT) gas dealers would buy up engine oil at chain store sales, mark it up and re-sell it at their gas stations.

I know that many dealers that sell WWB VP ammo are getting their supply from local Wal-Marts.

In a free market economy, stores are free to sell to anyone and dealers are free to mark up their goods to make a profit.

When the US is finally converted to a socialist country, this will probably be a capital offense and dealers might be executed for it. Is that what you really want? We're definitely headed in that direction and you might just see it over the next 4 to 8 years of the Obama administration! [puke2]

Went to my local wally world after work tonight to investigate. It had been a while since I was in that section but they had ammo what they had in stock was 22 357 one box of 223 and a S ton of 12 gauge stuff. made me sad cuz the 9mm stuff was half the price of what i spend at my local gun store. probably why it was all gone :(

Doesn't seem like that long ago that 100ct WWb 9mm was just over $20/box at Walmart and Four Seasons was running email list specials on Blazer steel case 50ct for under ten bucks.[angry]
