The one with the red sealant has been I.D.'d as Brazilian ball ammo, anyone recognize the one with the green sealant? Both are 7.62 x 51
Main concern is: Are either of these corrosive?

Green is probably Hirtenberger. Austrian and almost certainly not corrosive.

  • * * Hirtenberger Patronenfabrik . "Clean" export headstamp used by Hirtenberger – with the stars at 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock, the 2-digit year at 12 o'clock, and the caliber at 6 o'clock. The marks are either two 5-point stars, two 6-point asterisks, or a 5-point star and a 6-point asterisk.

As stated above, the green sealant cartridge is Austrian Hirtenberger and some of the best ammo ever imported. NON corrosive and if it is boxer primed, it is superb to reload.
Both Boxer and Berdan were imported (I've got both) so pull one or shoot one to see what you have.
