Are Dan Wesson 1911 really worth the price?

I've won many matches with the Brazos 2011 that I bought from you. I shot it in a match last month after a long iron sight hiatus, and wouldn't you know 2 stages in and the extractor failed..... I continued with my STI to win the match.... Anyway I want a refund.

If I were in the market for a new 1911, Dan Wesson would be on the short list of manufactures I would consider buying from.
That makes me very happy. I owned that gun for several years after buying it from a guy who was in financial trouble and needed cash NOW.

I kept lying to myself that I was going to start shooting IPSC and start reloading .40. (IMHO, the only reason to shoot .40 is if you are shooting IPSC, though my knowledge is very dated when it comes to that game). After a while, reality set in and I made the decision to sell the nicest handgun I've ever owned. I'm glad you are enjoying it.

The Staccato C is worth looking at. They redesigned the mags around 9mm, whereas 2011 mags were designed for .38 super. It’s wider and thicker than it should be, which is why the mags are the weak point of a 2011. I bet staccato is eventually going to switch over all their guns to take the new mags.

This was one of the selling points for the DWX for me, it just uses cheap, proven CZ mags
