AR 15 Builders kit - on woot today

Buds: $74
Midway: $89.99
Amazon: $115.99
The Woot is a good deal relative to others costs.
The mag block looks like it mounts in a track. Is this kit accessory to another vice or somesuch?

From the wheeler site "Designed for use with the Tipton® Best Gun ViseTM"

Well I ordered one! Going to be building out my AR this year piece by piece! I also plan on getting that gun vice as well so good fit! Lol

any idea of the quality of this kit?

The upper receiver block is an excellent tool to have ($24 @midway). I have used mine a lot with no problems of any kind. This is the number one tool you should have if you are planning on assembling any uppers. As far as the rest of that kit goes, I can think of better and more important tools to have.

Curious to know what is lacking or what you think would be better. I'll be doing my first build too and was originally thinking of getting some punches and a viceblock and borrowing everything else. This kit intrigues me though.

Check the Amazon reviews for it, particularly the most helpful negative review.

Probably worth what you're paying for it, but keep in mind that sometimes the armorer's tool alone goes for about $10 under what Woot is getting for the set.

I went through 3 "affordable" AR wrenches
DPMS wrench failed day one. Little tits would not ling up with standard ar barrel nut.
Next was a NCSTAR cast metal POS nothing fit well. I would imagine by the marring the 1/2" square drive would have rounded out on a tight barrel
3rd was a gun show special but it only did barrel nuts. works but is a bit cheezy.
I wound up with this. WELL WORTH THE MONEY http://www.northeastshooters.com/vb...0-ONGOING-Group-Buy-AR15-308-Armorer-s-Wrench
Awesome tool so far. Everything fits perfect.
I scored this on sale for 21$ http://www.midwayusa.com/product/31...per-and-lower-receiver-action-block-set-ar-15
I also snagged a brass punch set hammer combo at a "discount" tool store over in canton, gone now.
Everything else can be home made or tools found at local hardware store converted to function.
For the cost it might do well for the few build and maintenance
