April 2016 MetroWest Tactical IDPA Tier 1 Match: 4/23/16

Fellow Shooters:

MetroWest Tactical is announce its having its April 2016 Tier 1 IDPA match on Saturday, April 23, 2016. The match will take place at Harvard Sportsman's Club in Harvard, MA.


Registration starts at 9:00 am at the clubhouse; shooters' meeting at 9:45 am; first shots at 10:00 am. Our 2016 match fee is $25.00 for adults (please bring $5 bills if possible). Junior shooters (ages 12-20) will shoot for free when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.


This match will feature 6 stages: 5 outdoor and 1 indoor. The range conditions are expected to be good, but always be prepared for ice, snow, slush, and mud in April in New England. Bring appropriate footwear to accommodate any of these conditions. Lunch will be available to purchase in the clubhouse.


Stages will be posted before the match on the Metrowest Tactical website at: http://www.metrowesttactical.com/matchresults. Check back after the match at the same link for results. Results will also be posted to http://www.IDPA.com.

Damn. Just looked at the stages online. Plenty of one handed shooting on the move....I suck so bad at that. Need to practice that more at the range.

Definitely a good time. Very interesting/creative stages..... Though I was a bit rusty and need to cut down on the time wasted by making extra shots. Also need to think of better/quicker strategies for stages - made some bad decisions that wasted time. But anyway, I'm still learning and having fun which is all that matters.
