There is a thread about someone's saving / checking account being cleaned out that contains numerous comments about how good Apple Pay is.

Apple is lower than a liberal, gun hater, feminist, BLM, tree hugger, snowflake on my list!

I had a problem with my Apple password and they can't figure out how to fix reset it.
I spent at least 18 hours on the phone - about 3 hours at a time - trying to fix the problem without success.

I have 3 iPads on the account - mine and my two granddaughters - and used to have 2 iPhones.
I have now dumped the iPhones and changed to Samsung phones because of their inability to fix the problem.
The iPads will soon go away.

I will never get an Apple product again.

Let me guess... your AppleID goes to an email address that doesn't exist anymore?

You blame Apple for the fact that you screwed up your password and they won't let you in? Seriously? That is called good security. I would be pissed if you were trying that with my ID.

Be responsible for your own actions; don't blame a company with good security protocols for your mistakes.

I have an iPhone for personal and work gave me an S8. I do prefer to use Samsung pay (works almost everywhere and you get rewards) only problem is that Samsung Pay doesn't support my bank

Ouch. That's gotta suck. I've spent various time in the last 3 years migrating ANY sort of vendor communication from my old ComBlast email (which I had for YEARS) to gmail. I sat on that for a long time, checking 2 email boxes. Now I think, "What if I ever dumped comcast completely????"

Please post again when some malware downloaded from the Google Play store steals your bank account information.

It would help if you were coherent. Maybe that is why Apple is having trouble.

My apple products work fine. But I also know my passwords too...

But I've had to change/update my password before with no issues at all....

FYI I worked for Apple back in the 80's.

I have a two year old MacBook Pro 15"... maybe three years old. The screen looks like crap and it is subject to a recall to fix the premature screen failures.

We brought it into the Apple Store yesterday and also told them that the keyboard is acting up too. Well, since we have to send it away to get this fixed, we'll fix the keyboard at no charge.

The sad news for Apple is I haven't bought a new MacBook Pro. I can buy one anytime I want. I own the company and absolutely will buy a new model if it provides benefit. Problem is the MacBook Pro line has not improved to the point where I feel I'll get a better experience. The new touch bar experience simply does not do anything for me.

So I'll buy a replacement either when this laptop dies, or they market a product that has added benefit.

11 comments in and not one supporting the OP, this is impressive even for NES.

As the owner of both kinds of devices, someone has to be pretty much dead upstairs to have this happen. I don't care whose phone it is, if you don't install sketchmo shit, then this won't happen.

You have no clue about me or my level of responsibility, so stop being a holier than thou person.
It actually was an Apple mistake that started the problem and they can't fix it...

    - - - Updated - - -

I wish it were that simple. I have the original email address and they still can't fix the problem...

I switched over to apple after getting my 1,000th virus on PC even with norton installed.

Apple products cost more, but to me it's worth the expense since I am computer illiterate.

So what happens when you press the thing to reset your PW? Does the email never show up? (I forget the procedure, they may have changed it).

I have no clue as to what or why you would say that!

I have spent hours on the phone with Apple and they can't figure out how to fix the problem.
As far as I'm concerned they are useless.

My wife's account constantly telling her the account is locked and she must change the password. Happens several times a day to daily. No unauthorized purchases or anything, just she needs to change her password all the time.

You realize that plastic (credit cards) are far less secure than paying by phone right?

When you pay by phone (with Apple Pay) the info on you credit card is NOT stored in the phone. Instead the bank issues your PHONE a temporary card number (a token actually) that is associated with you. This "electronic" card can only be used with your fingerprint and its stored in a special place inside the iPhone that cannot be accessed even by rogue software. If somehow it was stolen (very unlikely) the bank can cancel the temporary number in your phone but NOT the plastic card in your wallet!

I have gone from swiping my card 15 times a day to less than one now that Apple pay has gained popularity. The only holdouts are gas stations at this point.
