From what I read in previous conversations in the forums, I take it that most folks don't have a lot of luck appealing reductions (I applied for an A, but was issued a B). I'm considering appealing my license through the local district court against Canton (listed as "black" for gun rights), but do not want to drop all that money if it's going to end up being a fruitless endeavor. Personally, I think I have a good enough reason with my military service, past history with CCWs, clean criminal record and my security clearance (I wasn't deemed "trustworthy" by the chief), but I also realize that logic and gun laws don't coincide here.
My other option is to try and ask for an early expiration for my current license (I'll be moving to a "green" town within two months), but again, I've also read on the forms that this too would sometimes require me to hire a lawyer and isn't a sure thing.
To make a long story short, do you guys think I would be better off appealing my license through the district court, or just asking for a premature expiration while applying for a new license in a green town?
