Aperture rear sight for AK

Has anyone tried an aperture rear sight on their AK? Something like this from Krebs:

Or better yet, aperture with replacement base (that replaces the flip-up design completely).

I dremeled the rear sight of my WASR. I then took a 5/16'' od x 3/4" long aluminum spacer and notched it. fitted it and used JB weld o attach it to the rear sight. Pics and range report soon.


BTW it would be easier to buy the williams rear sight aperture from Midway for 5 buck than to try and fit your own.

I have a set of the mojo sights on one of my china AKs ,works well

I have mojo sights on a Mosin, I'm not super impressed, but I do shoot better with them.

I have the krebs rear sight on my converted saiga 5.45 and I like it way faster/easier target acquisition! Worth the $65 bucks it depends on personal preference if u want to try it in the Taunton area pm me!
