The Associated Press warned determined gun controllers Joe Biden is not going to come by new gun laws easily, as lawmakers are not eager to line up and support restrictions on the Second Amendment.

The AP reported the majority of Biden’s proposed gun controls are the same ones that Democrats have been pushing for decades.

Those include “renewing a ban on AR-style rifles, universal background checks, restrictions on high-capacity magazines and a federal red flag law designed to prevent people at risk of harming themselves or others from purchasing a firearm.”

The news service pointed out that while Biden has pledged to put these controls in place, nearly all of them will require the support of the Senators and U.S. Representatives, many of whom are not interested in supporting gun control.

The AP suggests there are other gun controls Biden might be able to pursue, such a renewal of Obama-era rules forcing Social Security recipients to forfeit Second Amendment rights if they they required help managing their finances.

Breitbart News reported that President Trump signed a repeal of Obama’s Social Security gun ban on February 28, 2017.

I hope so, but I never underestimate the competition.
I'm more concerned about the other parts of socialism versus gun control... mmgun control politically unpopular then again with the clown World we're living in right now they don't need to worry about political calculus so much if they can just cheat in every election obviously that's going to be pretty state dependent.... like a Democrat from Florida or someplace like that might still be politically vulnerable wrt gun control....

The most dangerous thing Biden could pull off is federalizing ERPO.... because there are a lot of fudds and NPCs that will suck for that shit. Then ubc bullshit. The other thing that's dangerous to is is the gun mafia doesn't care about either of those things because it doesn't really affect their business model.... so we may emerge from a position of weakness on that garbage....

Honestly in Joe's fragile state nothing will come easy, the guy is a puppet and doesn't even know it.
Poor bastard should be on a beach somewhere with his grand kids burying his toes in the sand.

Nope!

He is a career grifter whose grand kids can see him once a month drooling behind the plexiglass visitor’s window at Leavenworth.

I will chuckle heartily when the commies wreck him and his whole family to push him out of the way.

Punitive taxes on guns and ammo to fund “gun violence prevention” programs (for the children).
Exorbitant premiums on mandatory liability insurance for gun owners.
Universal background checks.
End of 80% lower sales and a reclassifying of pistol braces.

Doubt they want to actually go to court over a new AWB or magazine bill, well at least not until they get done packing SCOTUS with additional lib ringers.

As far as the states like MA go all bets are off they are doubtlessly now emboldened to do whatever nefarious shit they want without fear of judicial redress

Half the country doesn’t even believe that he actually won the election. And I am sure that when ‘Toe takes over it will only get easier 🙄

She managed to get support of less than 1% of Dem voters in the primary race

You will see immediate gun control measures by executive order in the first 100 days I bet.

Yep, tend to agree. I expect a few pages from M. H's (I won't type her name) playbook.

We are going on 4 years of what everyone knows is blatant infringement (pretty close to 22 years if you count 1998).

Keep everything tied up in court for as long as possible, with no clear rules on what is legal or illegal.

Big deal. If he signs an EO take it to court and get it nullified. Problem solved. I trust that there are enough gun rights orgs that would be willing to take it on.

I wish it was that easy. If it was, we would have been able to purchase AR style rifles again. This is a lot like the military, if we can't control it, take it away.

Make everyone else spend time and money to get back something that never should have been lost.

How long does it take to sign an EO and how lkng does it take to take it to courts?

Before end of Feb. I also think there will be a rapid fire vaccine bill which will pork barrel a gun control measure. (probably on restricting ammunition or online component sales. )

it doesn't matter. we are where we are because of incremental measures. They continue to nibble away and it just continues to move their agenda along. And we never take any steps back. Nothing significant anyway.

We need gun rights in the news ever single day. We need to be relentless about gun rights and vilifying the government for trying to take those rights from ALL AMERICANS!!! Not just Americans who exercise those rights.....We need to let everyone know that gun rights are their rights. The dems have a very successful "US vs. Them" argument they use and they are winning with it. That needs to be flipped for the "US" to be the "People" and the "Them" to be the government.

During the primaries Harris said that if she can't get the gun control laws that she wants in the first 100 days, she'll go ahead and get her way by executive order.

What the literal F do those two things have to do with one another??
Many people on SS designate a payee for their SS benefits.
Some of these people are veterans.
They would rather have their wives or kids manage their money.

In doing so, Obama tried to use this as a excuse to make them prohibited from owning guns.

If I recall, even the ACLU was against Obama on this.

Biden team on Tucson.
