Through the years my son will vomit one evening and then in morning…then be fine. Two times it was after eating Italian ice, once was a slushy, and just recently, Gatorade zero, blue raspberry. He has drank regular Gatorade for years without problems. He has eaten candies, popsicles, etc. with no problems. He has a consistent diet with fruits and vegetables. We have informed the doctor. Only thing I can pinpoint were these sweets that were out of the ordinary in his diet for that day….is it the dyes or the sweeteners? Any advice would be appreciated

I'd suggest that you look into Euro-standards. We just had a talk with a friend about it, last night, and some food dyes have been known not only be carcinogenic, but affect mental health. Good luck obtaining real data, but I do know that some shit was banned in EU and US has not caught on yet.

Prolly covid [laugh] I kid, I kid. I had to go on an elimination diet for some inflammation I was having. You might consider the same albeit less restrictive e.g. eliminate blue drinks and slushes and see if the vomiting resolves. The only other advice I would offer is too keep as close as possible tabs on his diet and see if you can find any correlations. I had to write down what I was ingesting to keep a careful record and not forget the small snacks, spices, dressings, etc that can be overlooked. Best of luck!

I had a cat that would barf up any food with red dye.
I stopped buying it. Problem solved.

I can't eat some artificial sweeteners, so I avoid them.

Elimination diet is your best bet to find out if it's dye or artificial sweetener. Both are bad for you anyway.
Or he may outgrow it eventually.

red dye 40 would give my youngest cold like symptoms, back then children's Tylenol had red dye 40 and we were pumping him full of it
My daughter would break out in hives with red dye 40. Took us a while to figure out what was causing it because all the child medications we had, including the anti-histamine we used, had red dye 40 as well. We switched to dye free when possible, or some grape ones as those didn't seem to bother her.
