I just close up the house early (like before sundown) and it stays comfortable all night.

Ran the pellet stove this weekend to take the chill out of the house. Wanted to test run anyway. Halfway through September, and already running heat. Going to be a cold winter I think.

turn the heat on?!?! I was sleeping with the windows open this weekend. I LOVE this time of year when the air changes.

I'll admit though, I did have to get up in the middle of the night and partially close one of the windows.

I turned it on for 20 minutes to make sure everything fired up. I will turn it on officially when the temperature in the house gets near 55. The wife might literately kill me in my sleep if I keep the heat off past that.

Why the **** would I turn the heat on when it doesn't get below 70 at night? I still have the AC on 24/7. Uh oh, I just checked the weather, it is actually supposes to get down to 67 tonight. Brrrrrr...[rofl2][rofl2][rofl2]

How about you bullseye? You got your heat on yet? lol

No way, and I'll keep it off as long as I can, which won't be long since my wife stays at home with the kids [sad] My house is insulated pretty well, even with windows cracked on both floors it didn't drop below 69-70 inside this morning.

I dread the heating season, watching the oil level drop and getting the bills for filling up. Maybe I'll get around to installing a wood stove this year.

No, but I did enable the HEAT function on the digital thermos. I don't expect them to power on until sometime early October. At which time we'll start lighting afternoon/evening fires in the wood stove.

Turned it on last week and it worked.. Not cold enough to need it yet., if I get cold I have no problem turning it on or firing up the wood stove. I have gas heat and feel for you oil burners.

Yup, still got the AC running here as well. It's 108 outside as I'm typing this.
