It goes on every day for showers and doing dishes or laundry. Then it goes off again. Sometimes, it gets forgotten. I have the automatic programmable thermostat to kind of help out also. I'm just wondering when I'll close my pool. Last swim was at 60.5 degrees a few weeks ago. It's gotta be colder now. I've been in colder, and I think as late as Veteran's Day.

AC's are all out and put away. Storm windows are all in place except the 6 on two sides of the porch, which I might do now. Need to replace at least 4 windows in the house. The oil tank is 2/3 full, and the 1982 boiler seems OK (knock on wood).

New house has programmable thermostats that were set by the previous owners so the heat kicked on all by itself last week and heated the house up to 70 freakin' degrees.

You should fix that. Had the AC on till this morning, burned pellet for a few morning hours. Therm says 27 last night.

Realized this morning that I need to make a plywood panel with a cat door in it so that the cats can still do their business out in the mud room without letting all the heat out through the open window.

Wife asked for heat when I got home from work tonight, so I win.

Wife has been on the war path for heat the past two days. I’m holding strong but it’s only a matter of time until I’m bombed into submission by the constant barrage of nagging

Damn.

But 70 during winter is nice. I keep my place at 72. It's my house, I will be comfortable. I walk around barefoot with shorts all winter.

Had the wood stove going for a few hours the last couple of nights. The girls are always a little chilly.
Threw the last log in at about 9:00pm but slept with the windows open in my bed room. There is nothing like that crisp October air for sleeping.
Love this time of year.

On travel for work in Scotland - had to video chat with the wife to tell her how to turn on the boiler.
I guess the wood stove is broken - yeah, I guess it is since the control system is 3100 miles away...

Rode 67 miles in a short sleeve shirt today in flipping Scotland and she needs heat in Massachusetts, whatever...

It was 93 Friday. I'm still running AC in the house but tomorrow should be down to 74 or so, so may get to turn it off. Charged he AC in the truck though, seems I have a leak somewhere. I'll deal with that in March when it starts getting warm again...

I was in Maine but the wife was down in Mass. she turned the heat on. I told her I was burning wood and she asked the wood stove or the wood boiler.

Thank you for making today's "why I use social media" quota. This isnt gold. Not platinum. This is diamond levels of hysterical unintentional incompetence.
