I came across a Glock 24 .40S&W in good condition. Long barrel but no opening in the slide like in G35. Looks like a good platform for action shooting. Anyone shot one? How does it fare against G22 or G35? More accurate? What games is it appropriate for?
TIA

Glock 40S&W's come in a 22,23,27 and 35.
If it has the "C" designation, it's compensated and has the small openings at the front of the slide.
I'm not sure what you mean "Long barrel but no opening in the slide like in G35", the G35 is not offered in a "C" model from Glock.

If I am not mistaken, the G24 will not fit in the IDPA box, therefore it is not usable there.
I am not sure if it will fit the USPSA box, the lengths are pretty close.

John, the cutouts on the G35 slide that he mentions are for slide lightening and overall pistol balance. I believe the G35 and G22 slides are very close to the same weight, allowing glock to interchange parts between the two pistols and not having to rework the action.
