Anyone Know Where to Get Primers?

Doesn’t anyone reload/shoot?? I know I’d be more concerned having a healthy supply of components than a quick couple hundred bucks cash. Then again the guys selling primers probably don’t even own a press. But I digress - capitalism/no one is forcing you to buy them blah blah

I agree here. I don’t think these are our people. These are guys looking to make a buck.
Seems the reloading group is a little more like minded when it comes to keeping their stash up and helping out others that don’t have 2 primers to rub together.

Really, so much for a community of like minded individuals. It's hurray for me and fu*k you.

I am happy to say that there are still honorable people amongst us who are willing to sell at reasonable prices even in times like these.

I’m over here trying to squirrel away enough supplies to outlast Xiden, not turn a buck.

All you can do is pass on the 15-20 cent+ primers. But the market is there, hell they were selling for that on Gunbroker a few weeks ago. Instead of that, I spend half my day on the sites waiting for drops! [laugh]

Unfortunately I think some won’t be able to. I’ve spent time on here (NES) fostering relationships with some very generous members and without that, I’d probably be up a creek. One needs to be somewhat savvy to know when and where drops occur (apps help) and I imagine it’s easier for some to just plunk down $175 for 1,000 primers to have “just in case”.
It’s unfortunate, but I don’t imagine any of us are actually surprised.

Oh believe me I'm all in favor of an open capital market. But some of this is just bend over the log and take this if you want what I have . Glad I'm not sharing a foxhole with any of that commercialism.
Well sh*t, quoting you twice, nothing personal. This is not a capitalistic market. It's opportunistic profiteering from a crisis, or gouging.

Pardon me, I'm on a roll.

How's it go? "Trip over a dollar to pick up a nickel". They aren't thinking that far ahead.

So many accounts created Nov, Dec, & Jan that are selling components, etc...
Only posts they have are a WTS post
I'm far from having post numbers like a lot of you, but I've been around, reading & liking posts
I just can't help but notice all the shiny new accounts that are just posting WTS at big prices

I feel the same way, though there is an increase in active members on the "what did you do in the reloading room today" thread it's not the same people that are gouging on the classifieds.

I saw a 500 round box of .22 Remington Thunderbolt listed for $179. I might have to sell some good .22 for $1790.

Another forum online requires a minimum of 50 posts before you can post a WTS ad.

Plenty of powders dropped tonight at our fav seller. picked up another 8lb jug of 4064. I am now set on my 8mm powder

If our favorite seller is who I think it is, they posted on one of their social media accounts that they sold 10,000 lbs of powder yesterday. Average probably $25/lb, they sold a quarter million dollars of powder in a very short amount of time.

Agreed. I have given some primers to folks I know won't resell them for these absurd prices. I also sold powder for what I paid for it, again to people that won't turn around to resell it. I get the whole supply/demand thing but I guess I would rather help a fellow reloader out, than make a guick buck. It's good to know there are others on NES that feel the same way.

I don't know about that, I found 1000 SPP. but can't find LRP.
It's the opposite for me. I've been able to find LRP online and in stores. I can't find SPP or SRP.

I got 1k of those #34 LRP recently and have an order of CCI 200s coming this week. I'm in western Rockingham County NH if you want to do a trade lol.

LP only has a couple smokeless powders remaining, and odd ones at that. If you need black powder or 777 etc., this is your year.

I get a kick out of all the capitalism derp. Capitalism is supposed to have rules to prevent abuse. Lawless capitalism really is no longer capitalism. Case in point, formation of monopolies and 'cartels'. Price gouging is not OK. Fat chance of any swamp aligned government to take action on ammo & reloading price gouging, but taking advantage of a crisis situation to jack up prices on essentials meets the definition of gouging in most if not all states.

[thumbsup] to all the NESers who help each other out. Newbs and casual visitors don't realize there's a core group who have actually met each other and help each other out.
