Specifically looking for advance tactical handgun and pistol caliber carbine.

Would like to use my Beretta Storm .45acp.

Anyone know of any?
I'm considering Blackwater down in NC but would rather not travel that far.
I am a member of the Westford Sportsmen Club but I haven't seen any training of this nature offered there

I don't know about the training, but I believe it's Pelham that runs IDPA carbine matches... Maybe some info there?

Welcome to the forum.

I guess you haven't yet had time to look thru the Training Forum?

There is plenty of defensive handgun courses being offered in the Nashua/Westford area this year.

Schedules can be found at www.neshooters.com

No carbine courses are offered in this area. They are almost non-existent even for LE in this neck of the woods.

Ayoob used to offer a two day URBAN RIFLE course in NH. I took it back in 99, it was great.
I don't see it on his schedule this year.

Frank Cornwall of DEFENSE ASSOCIATES has a two day TACTICAL RIFLE SEMINAR scheduled for June 24th and 25th at the Blue Trail Range in Wallingford CT.

Details at: http://www.defenseassociates.com/asaa.htm

Franks a fine instructor, I've done several courses with him.

John

Thanks all,
I appreciate the feedback, I have looked through the training forum and do see a lot of great stuff listed, but as one poster mentioned not much on Carbine.
Looks as though I'll have to make the trek to North Carolina.

You may not have to schlep all the way down to NC. A number of well known traveling instructors have such classes in PA, VA, and WV.

John,
This is great stuff! Thanks a bunch.
I finally got into NEshooter.com, couldn't access the web site a few days back.
Looks like there is plenty of training available to participate in.
Much appreciated.

Yes, the squirrels died and NEshooters.com was down until the telephone company was able to capture new squirrels and train them to run the generators! [rolleyes]

Seriously I called Jim Conway early last week at his office and got a recording that "this number can't accept calls"!!! Called his house and left a message for him to feed the squirrels so that his phones might work again. He called back and told me that his phone and Internet service at the office had been down for ~4 days and would be down for another few days. The phone company alluded (to him) that they might have had a flooding or other major problem in their switching facility. This left Jim with only a cell phone that would only work in the parking lot (not in the building) where his office was located for ~1 week!
