me too, lot of talent on NES.
My eye isn't all that great - my late aunt Kathi's was much better.

I'm not so much a photographer as a bit-slinger. Of the shots that have gotten me ribbons:
only three weren't heavily manipulated. Fortunately for me, Bethlehem (CT) has a "Digitally Enhanced Salons" category. [grin]

But as an example, she pulled the purple on this one, in Adult Snaps:

Posted already, but:

I wanted to wish you congratulations! Your photo "Winter Wonderland" taken at Rockhouse Hill Sanctuary has been awarded runner up in the Landscapes, Wildscapes and Waterways Category. The judges love your photo!

As stated on the website, your photo will be displayed on various CLCC and CT DEEP platforms. Originally, the winning photos were also going to be displayed at the 2020 Connecticut Land Conservation Conference on March 21, however, we have postponed that event due to growing concerns of COVID-19. Upon the event that we are able to reschedule the conference, your photo will be printed and put on display.

Once again, congratulations!

Best,
Cristina
