Correct! There are plenty of gun crime stories right outside their windows, but they choose to go after LEGAL gun owners because focusing on BLACK illegal gun crime would destroy their narrative of racism and White Supremacy. The Globe is a mouthpiece for Liberal outrage and anti-conservative rhetoric, they don't report news.

How did I miss this? Where was the story reported? When did this happen? Not reported in the Globe I assume?
 
I started one but it ended up being news the night before. Jeff Kuhner was covering it and Id think a podcast of it is available.

It reeked of wrong doings but Mass......

Instead of "make" might want to say something like "suggest that it's probably not in their best interest" etc. I think even most of the Joe numbskull types if you talk to them from more than 5 minutes they would understand why it's a bad idea..... show them mfs, gun parlor hit pieces, etc.

The Republican Party is the most incompetent, ignorant, self destructive bunch of idiots on the planet. Not only did they stand around with their head up their butt while 60s radical socialists and communists invaded the schools and government, they lost the mid terms despite inflation, a destroyed economy, gun control, open borders, an assault on personal Liberty and a crime explosion.

The greatest country in the world was taken down due to laziness and stupidity.

Nope, the Leftist Dems have them beat. Even with the Swamp/Govt, lamestream media and Big Business in their back pocket they kept insisting abortion and Jan. 6 were more important than inflation, gas prices, crime, etc.
Dementia Joe just announced in a presser at the WH he will BAN Assault Weapons, no explanation on how he will do it thou.

So the most recent phone calls by Globe reporter Sarah Ryley might have been looking for FFLs willing to say stupid stuff on the record for her latest article which starts with a false equivalence from a 2018 case and carries on with half truths and outright misrepresentations.

The activist reporter is trying to leverage the police against firearms dealers.

This link is on MSN (yuck) not at the Globe (double yuck) but it does allow comments, as long as it continues to work.

GRANBY — The local police were almost chummy during their annual inspections of Dark Horse Gunsmithing, a gun shop that opened in this small town near Springfield in 2012, owner Max Gaj recalled. The chief or his lieutenant would stroll up to the counter, chat for a bit, and be on their way.

No violations found.

But when federal inspectors visited Dark Horse in 2018, it was a starkly different story: They found an unregistered machine gun in the safe, the first of a litany of federal and state crimes that included selling AR-15-style rifles to straw buyers and failing to record where 119 guns either came from or went.

The Legislature made local police the front line in enforcing Massachusetts’ gun laws in 1998, when it passed what was hailed as the strictest gun control legislative package in the nation. Police were now required to conduct annual inspections of every dealer’s “records and inventory” to make sure the shops are following all state and federal laws.

But Globe public records requests to 112 Massachusetts police departments that oversee dealers responsible for 97 percent of the state’s in-person gun sales revealed that the local police in cities and towns across the state are falling down badly on the job.

More than half of the departments — 62 — said they haven’t inspected a single gun dealer since at least 2017. Their jurisdictions have included 235 dealers that reported 356,000 in-state sales since 2017, including some of the state’s busiest gun stores. Police officials in six of those towns admitted they didn’t inspect gun dealers even after federal inspectors from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives found violations at the shops.

I am gonna ignore this reporter, she has an agenda versus interested in reporting anything. The article is really an oped versus a news piece. However, question for the folks here. What are the local PD allowed to inspect? My understanding was only an ATF inquiry or warrant can open up 4473 and the book. So what is the pd supposed to do here?
 
I'd like to know why everyone keeps calling them reporters, When they are activist.
The republicrative party is Done, Toast, Needs to be flushed
If they cannot get rid of the likes of romney and collins with duncan refusing to vote for and announcing it to the activist so they can put it on the evening news.

It's not spelled out so no one gives a shit, which is a good thing. When they came to "inspect" me at the Mill, I told them no thanks, handed them the license and told them that after 40 years I know how to make this shit come and go without their piece of paper. They left. I don't do any retail in Mass anyway and Little Jack in NH has all the AWB and NFA stuff that I don't play with anymore, so I'm retired from the biz. That way I was able to transfer the post sample MGs, silencers and so on to NH to keep it all in the family. Jack.
