Just got finished wet tumbling some .38's and .357's, using only lemishine and palmolive dishwashing soap and pins. Ran them in my setup for 3hrs., dumped them in the sink, rinsed off with cold water then put in the oven @ 200 deg. f. for 2 hrs to dry. Anyway, after i rinsed them off and before I put them in oven (so i know this wasnt caused by heat) I discovered this lone oddity. It was the only case like this out of 6lbs. of 357's. Maybe it has gender identity issues, or just decided to come out of the closet. What say the experts of NES ??

maybe a nickel plated case and your wash had enough acid in it to strip the nickel?
I thought the same but the picture shows other nickel plated without damage - probably a mix of too much LemiShine and a bad plating.
