Any AK builders out there?

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to ask if anyone could recommend a smith that could put together a AK parts kit with a receiver for me. I just do not trust my self with the rivets, and want to build out a polish AK, and parts kit appears to be the only way to go for me.

Ideally this would be somewhere in central mass, but open to other ideas.

there are several good builders on akfiles post periodically in classifieds section. one of them is airman1202 does good job and prices are super reasonable.

they are all out of state though so you would have to communicate over the email and phone and ship to and receive from via FFL.

darkknight/childers is building too but he's pricier than airman1202 and currently not taking any new work.

1776 gunsnithin in Walpole will assemble it. They do great work.

and post pictures when it's done. i'm generally for 1776 guy but he is not as cheap as those other builders out of Florida. if you get quotes from both please list them. I know ball park that airman1202 would charge but not 1776. would be interested to see how much is the difference between too.

The price was different, however i think there are different economies of scale here. Mass is alot more then some other regions.

1776 did mine. I got it back in 2 days and I'm very pleased with it.
