In NH today. Found a Winchester and Springfield Garand and Winchester M1 Carbine. Carbine was reasonable at $1150; Winchester Garand was CMP 2017 at $1450; 100% markup. Found a German tank badge, close combat badge, partisan badge, and a complete Africa Korps Luftwaffe corporal's uniform. Also found a March 1955 National Geographic with my Pontiac on page 1.

To VT tomorrow.

Ok; a 50% markup then. Weren't these built up from receivers only?

t
we will never really know. unless it comes with a new after market barrel and other non GI parts ? CMP garands can be right from the crate to built up with all the spare parts they have. Honestly I have not seen a Winchester other than through cmp for less than $2000 in a while.

Curious to see the last 5 minute bump on the WRA service grade and the field grades in a few days

Perhaps some. Mine is a '65 SA rebuild and at the least came from CMP with the barrel that was installed during the arsenal rebuild. Birch (beech?) stock might have been from the arsenal rebuild as well. $1450 seems a little high but not ridiculous for a shop price.

[shocked] There's a Service Grade WRA on auction at CMP and despite being in a CMP stock the price is already beyond $1,700. Field Grades already over $1,000. [shocked]

Wouldn't mind another carbine; NPM I think. Though I did find another German .32 pistol with imperial proof I'm going after...

You cant go by CMP auction prices as the are not real world selling prices. People with deeper pockets than common sense bid up those rifles at much more than they are worth. If CMP stamped and pile of dog crap someone would buy it on their auction

So far only a dagger in Waterbury.

Didn't wait for the file to load...

Waterbury flea market was a bust. Not one piece of militaria. No guns since they've been banned after an aborted school shoottthis spring. But you can still buy ammo (?). Found a box of Remington .32 for $15. Military vehicle show there. Wasn't going to pay $5 for a look, so snapped one pic.

Spent a lot of time in VT hunting and camping with dad 20+ years ago. Not much in the way of guns back then. Back woods yard sales where your best bet. We. Went to ME or NH for gun stuff.
VT has grown more commielibral also.
My dad said he would move to VT is the liberals ever left. That was 20 plus years ago

One last stop in Queechee VT. Found some caps ($850), and helmets ($500). Pre-War US officer's tunic for $70. Also a $100 P38 holster, and $80 Jap bayonet.
