Which is a greater risk, opioids or guns?

It's a ridiculously vague question but I'll take a stab at it.

Assuming he means fatalities, there were 8,124 reported firearms homicides in 2014 and 16,060 opioid deaths just from prescription opioids with an additional 10,574 from heroin overdoses for a total of approximately 26,634 deaths from opioids.

So yeah, opioids win.
