Some of the comments on the left wing site are insane, going so far as to say that it doesn't matter that the clerk could have been murdered, saying if that had happened it would have just been a matter for the justice system. It's as if their liberalism totally overrides their sense of empathy for law abiding citizens.

Looks like the liberal way of doing things is let the victim be victimized and let the government sort things out. The worker could have been injured or worse killed and the bad guy could have got away if the person outside didn't intervene and simply called the cops. He had a split second to make a decision and he clearly made the right one. Seems to me like he made a better decision than a lot of cops have been making recently.

Tbh with all my friends who are gun owners I'm begging them to call the cops none of them can shoot for $hit but that'd beside the point. Lot of racism on the right wing site there and a ton of stupid on the left. Kid was playing a dangerous game he knew the risks that someone could kill him he did it anyways. No sympathy for him.
