And Walmart is the next to fold

these anti attacks are being run by 100 or fewer people. rush did an in depth thing on this today, these corporations are being suckered into anti 2a positions. he was reticent to tell all last week, but today he gave a lot more facts. he said it's actually 10 people using 'bots, but i figure it's 10X that. these are retired lib cows spending 8-10 hours/day creating fake accounts spreading the anti 2a message.

his production company spent a lot of time researching this after the sandra fluke fiasco. a lot of his advertisers left, and now most of them are back after seeing the research results. these people make 1 look like 10,000

let these corporate idiots do what they think is politically correct, and when those of us who actually buy products stop doing business with them, they will re-think their position.

i forget what movie the quote was from, "it's all about the dollar"

The movie was Casino. As far as Rush Limbaugh, the advertisers who pulled their PC baloney and left his radio program regretted it. Not all of them were welcomed back; there were others who saw the value of advertising on his program and any gaps were quickly filled.

Only ever really went there when my buddies kids were little and his old lady would badger him when we hung out to pick up diapers or something. I've only ever purchased maybe $50 worth of crap over the course of my life at WM, for all the talk about ammo there I've never seen anything stocked in any real quantity.

"The company is also going to remove any toys and items that resemble assault-style rifles from their website."

I wonder what Hollywood is going to do with all their movies? Remove anything with guns in them?
I wonder if this will include all action figures, video games and movies that may include "assault-style" rifles.

This is a little concerning:

"We take seriously our obligation to be a responsible seller of firearms and go beyond Federal law by requiring customers to pass a background check before purchasing any firearm. The law would allow the sale of a firearm if no response to a background check request has been received within three business days, but our policy prohibits the sale until an approval is given."

That has been their policy for years. It is the same with many/most big box stores.

"Fold" makes it sound like they were on our side to begin with. They make business decisions. The left put more pressure on them than we did. They took what they perceive to be the path of least resistance .

That was my first thought. This isn't 1975. We don't want a Johnny-7 anymore, as kids. We want Call Of Duty Kill'em'All Edition. Extra killy. Extra Assaulty!

Something tells me that

A) not many pre-21's are buying anything at the "gun counter" at WM anyhow.
B) not many people are buying ANY assault-weapon toys at WM or just about anyplace else.
C) not many people will notice this doesn't apply to NERF guns. Thinkaboudit!

My local Walmart always stocks a Mini 14. I am always surprised when I see one replaced in inventory. The wooden stock must make it so functionally different then all other .223, detachable magazine fed, semiautomatic rifles that this one is acceptable for the public.

3 Days "clean" for me. No more Walmart, Amazon, Google, Dick's or YouTub. I'm not even clicking on YouTub posts here on NES.
The shakes are almost gone, but I keep feeling my pocket for my wallet...

Walmart is losing market share to Amazon. Stock has been down. They'll be around for years to come but will slowly decline until some other megastore takes over. Wash, rinse, repeat...

Dick's always had their own "store model" guns even from the major manufacturers. True. Look at the same models in a factory catalog, ever wonder why you could find them at your LGS, but when you went to Dick's, there was a similar model with a real cheesy stock or scope on it ? The "store model". When they had their "Black Friday Special" price leader, they were kind enough to have only one of them in the store. I know--I bought it one year . It was a POS model, $175 shotgun. Occasionally, it was good bamboozling a store manager there into a break on "last year's model". No lie, I walked out of the So. Attl. store with a new, synthetic stock, 11-87 for under $375. I always got a laugh out of their touch screen 4473's. I liked messing with them, because the designated gun counter kid was usually brought up from stick and ball sports to conclude the transaction, and you could torture them with wrong answers and start over half a dozen times--" Honestly, I don't know what county this is"
Wal-Mart won't be missed either. Up here, the sporting goods guy would give you the J.Edgar look when you were sifting through their .32 acp or .38 short to find something useful. In North Florida, you could keep Miss Fanny (double entendre here), busy for 15 minutes looking for .45 Short Colt. It's all good , Wal-Mart will drop their tiny ammo case for an end-cap of Cheet-os or Fix- A - Flat and the shooting world will never notice.
Here's a thought--going forward, when one of these "Big-Box" alleged sportsman's stores gets out of line like this, use the plan that put Tweeter out of business. Go to the brick and mortar store, spend an hour of the salesman's time, then hunt the price on the 'net and have it shipped to your friendly LGS for a transfer. Just remember to patronize your LGS even if it costs a little sometimes.
Just my humble $.02

All these big corporations are run by a board of directors and are responsible to shareholders who only care about the bottom line, not social justice issues. The same thing is going to happen here as did with Target and Starbucks, as soon as their profits were negatively affected, the one responsible for these decisions will get canned and the policies reversed.

Wait, what happened to YouTube? Does this include that old guy who tests out guns on his range going down then back up a hill with metallic targets all over the place?

Wait, what happened to YouTube?
Nope it was the bearded hillbillies shooting "cut shells"... o_O

Seriously though, when the Youtub algorithm started screwing with the Pro-Gun Tubers, I knew that some Anti was writing that algorithm.
It's just a matter of time before you type in Hickock45 or some other vid and get this...

Look on the bright side, there will be more room for "The People of Walmart" to provide amusing pics and videos for your amusement.
