Anyone collect old .45 ammo. I am looking to do a photo shoot in a few months with a WWI Cold and would love to have some ammo or an ammo box in the photos. This a 1917 vintage gun. Thanks, Greg

Nothing in any quantity or original packaging, but I have a few 1914 to 1918 pieces of ammo (it's not that hard to find actually). Most of it has the lead-coated copper jacketed round nose/ball projectile (REM-UMC 18).

Maybe a period ammo box- GI would great. I have some loose rounds I can use.

Greg, get in touch with depicts. I know he has some.

Fix, I saw this post and would have offered it to Greg, but it is date stamped 1943, and he wants pictures of a WWI pistol. I don't have any WWI .45. All that nice antique stuff you gave me is newer than Greg needs, though he is more than welcome to it. I have a .45 S&W Revolver, Mod 1917 that I want to photograph too, but I'm still trying to find WWI ammo, without making 50BMG turn his cellar upside down looking for some.

There was a hoard of the steel-cased WWII era ammo at Hansen's in Southport, CT awhile back...you'd have to call to check on WWI fodder.
