I think many underestimate the rural areas of New England. Thanks to the moonbat infested urban centers who 'represent' the rest of us, the perception that Massachusetts as a whole is brimming with socialists is an easy one to make. Certainly, Western Massachusetts, Northwest Connecticut, Southern Vermont and Eastern New York are stocked themselves with sheep, (both real and metphor), but scratch below the surface and you'll find an army of entrenched, native Swamp Yankees who when poked like a bear, will come out swinging. I remember hanging out with some of my brothers friends in rural Alabama some years ago. We were chiding one another about our homeland. Bill was under the impression that because I was from Massachusetts that I must be from Boston. When I explained to him that I came from the mountains of Western Massachusetts, he looked puzzled - even more so when I explained that while the South certainly adopted the hillbilly moniker, that a trip to Weatern Massachusetts would reveal that not all of us New Englanders - even many in the infected urban regions, are the soft city types he imagined...

Yes, but which side would they be on? Do you really think that the people or rural MA or upstate NY (especially beyond Albany) have any LESS disdain for the socialist city-dwellers that are turning their states into penniless crony-run cesspools?
