After searching for hours I figured someone on here has to have a good one. Looking for preferably a one strap sling pack that has a pocket in the back for ccw and can fit a large laptop. What do you guys use and why do you like it. Will be for work and hiking on weekends

This right here:

Cannae Legion Day Pack. I have one that I use every day. Quality construction with real cordura, plenty of pouches that will hold a laptop or whatever gear you may need, built-in protective sunglass pocket, headphone/camel pack pass throughs, completely adjustable chest and waist straps, PLUS you get a lockable pocket on the back specifically designed to carry a firearm. They offer a velcro holster strap made just for their bags. Oh and its got a morale patch velcro ;)

I use mine day to day to carry gear to and from work, I've used it for range gear, I've carried a full AR500 plate set-up in it and I've even used it as a patrol bag.

I like my NOATAK GEARSLINGER by MAXPEDITION. It's a great truck bag, hiking bag, etc. Kind of pricey but should last forever.

Or

GORUCK:

All 3 of the above brands are made in the US.

These packs are so high quality that they will last for years of hard use.
They are warrantied for life.

I bought this Sling pack for $30. its great.
Don't listen to the hardos on this thread. They wear their wives thong panties when no one is around.

Today I learned that real men define their manliness by the number of straps on their pack.

CamelBak hawg or motherlode. I have a used motherlode that I've been abusing for 7 years, still hasn't broken. You can usually find good used ones on eBay pretty easily, too. No idea on single sling packs, maybe if the CamelBak ever dies.

One straps are lame unless you are going for the 5.11 catalog sloperator look.

I have one of these that I like a lot. I use it more then any other bag I own. Everything from office/laptop work, day pack hiking/hydration carrier, to weekend trips, and carry on use for longer work trips.

It is made by a few companies that re-brand them, some with different features, but the bag is the same. Here is one spot that makes one that doesn't look so operator, if that is what you are after. They are also a little cheaper too.

I kind of like the Urban 1 scheme.

Apparently you can actaully make it one strap rig if you want. Didn't know that. ~2:00 mark.

I wear a one strap Sling pack.

I pretend I'm in The Division all day.

edited to try and be serious:
The pack I have is the 3V Outlaw Sling, and it's awesome for what it is. It's been unbreakable. It goes everywhere, but totally screams 'I'm probably a brand ambassador on Instagram'. I've slammed buckles in car doors too many times to count, and only cracked it. Taped it up, and still kicking. It gets tossed everywhere, and zippers have been bombproof. I wouldn't carry a gun off body in a bag if it was absolutely 100% necessary, but that's just me.

But if you are hell bent on that type of bag, the 3V Outlaw has been a fun bag to own.

if considered acceptable id like to threadjack. i want a backpack but bigger than that. i probably want two.
one that i can put a laptop in too and one that i can fit a decent amount of range trip/ camping stuff in it.
i dont care about single strap or double strap.

dont bother suggest triple digits. I am not professional soldier who needs a $300 backpack. i have found great deals at below $50 in the past and i can wait.

I have one of these for that reason. My ~16" laptop fits in the front compartment perfectly and it has plenty of room for me to pack for a 5-7 day work trip, depending on the time of year (I also don't wear a suit). They regularly go on sale for 100 bucks if you add yourself to LBT's mailing list.

I'm actually trying to find a decent pack for use on the motorcycle. One that can be easily attached on the sissybar and sit on the luggage rack. Unfortunately there aren't many backpacks that are designed for that. Most are just bags with backpack straps that look uncomfortable as hell to walk around all day with. I guess I'll have to keep half-assing it with this...http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GZGESGO/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I got this cause I didn't want molle webbing all over the place. I will say the customer service with Condor was outstanding. The first run of production didn't have the velcro material inside. I emailed Condor and they said they would replace it for free, but the new one's wouldn't be in for 2 - 3 months. They said to use the one I had for now and when the new one's came in they would send me a shipping label to send the old one back and send me a new one. Pretty happy with it so far, but it is a bit pricey.

Thank you all for your input. I prefer sling packs idk why just feel more comfy when carrying a heavy load. usually I carry about 65 pounds in a bag between tools and crap. I am looking for a bag because I'm moving into my office so I'll be carrying less tools. Pretty much just edc crap and my computer. Also not looking for anything conspicuous IE molly webbing or glock printed on it. I appreciate the offer but the women in my office will literally crap their pants. Also not looking to spend 400 bucks on a bag lol I'll just get bored with it eventually.

I like my 511 Rush 24 pack

I have the Rush 12. It is tied for the best backpack I have ever owned. The other one is a Briggs & Riley laptop bag I used to use when I flew a lot. Sturdy, holds everything I need, keeps its shape. Very rugged.

Overall I think 511 gear is okay - I prefer other brand shoes, other brand pants(Vertx), etc. But their bags are top notch.

I can't and won't try to talk you out of sling bags. Personally, I have tried sling bags, messenger bags, and shoulder bags, and they kill my back and shoulders. Backpack balance the load and are comfortable for me.

Maybe we do. But we can only do that because we are married. To women no less!! [shocked] Either way it's better than wearing your husbands jockstrap.[laugh]
