Anyone else feel extremely weird when you bring something small to home depot or lowes (say a bolt) to buy a matching item and put your item in your pocket once you have found what you needed?
not really as usually I bring the rattiest rusty/ bent looking nut or bolt to compare, don't think they would try to say they were selling it.

JFC the density of this thread is quickly approaching singularity level. A few more posts like those and it'll collapse and suck the rest of NES in with it.

Do you guys think the 20 second video is ALL the video they have of this guy?? You can be sure that Jim went back and followed him on camera from the time he walked in the store to the time he left and knows exactly where the ammo came from and whether or not it was paid for before he left the store. He is not going to post the entire video since he's just trying to get the guy's attention with the shot of him doing what is alleged.

He could have gotten his name from the credit card used if he did purchase something else while there OR there is this magical thing called "The Internet" where one can pay for all manner of information like say automobile registration data! So if you happen to have a nice clear shot of the alleged shoplifter's license plate and a few minutes time, you can easily get the info. You don't need facial recognition technology which I'm sure they are not using at SO FFS.

Jim is a member here, I wish he would chime in and just put this thread out of its misery.
I agree. I feel like for him to have posted that it must have been a pretty clear cut case... I.e. guy walks in, browses ammo, grabs a box, walks upstairs and looks at the gun, pockets ammo, browses some more, then walks out without any purchase. Just an example.

I archived this for such occasions:

This was posted April 27, 2019 on Northeast Shooters Page #8 about Shooters Outpost opening a new store in Amherst, NH

"FID & buy all the Ammo in the place. No FID/ no ammo. It does prevent ammunition from my store to be on your streets by the people that you wouldn’t want to be in public with your family. It has little to do with your AG. To prevent the accusations of profiling, we ask everyone to see the FID/or LTC. There has been more than you could ever imagine. No card holder has ever left without ammunition or compliant long guns they’ve wanted. You folks think it’s about you, it’s about the ones that can’t get what you have. If I just sold to everyone without asking, you’d be more pissed off if one of those “bad” sales ended up with it being unlawful to shop on this side of the border or your family were victimized by one of those scum. Come work for a week, I’ll show you some that would scare the shit out of you!"

He is a liar. I remember back in 2014 or 2015 when I was a Mass resident, me and a buddy went in there and we wanted to buy a Saiga AK, completely Mass legal and well before that bitch Healey acted up. We put the rifles on the counter ready to pay and this kid got all flustered and said it came with the 30 round mag and wasn’t sure if he could sell it, we told him to keep the mag and write it up without mag. Long story short after about a half hour waiting the manager came out and said he talked to the owner and he said no. It was ridiculous, totally legal gun but wouldn’t do it because there was a 30 round steel mag that actually could have been a mil surplus pre ban but he wanted to be extra gay. Before you guys jump on me I get it, it’s his store his rules and I respect that but I am entitled to not liking the guy.

Unconverted virgin Izhmash Saiga import came in sporter configuration with those Saiga plastique 10 round junk mags.

If it was fresh off the boat from mother Russia, he lied to you.

Last I knew it was only in the two places with the same name, one in Hooksett and the other in Amherst. The rest the state knows that New Hampshire does not have that requirement.

It's pretty much only that shitbag store and owner mentioned in the OP.
Some walmarts (amherst, at least, maybe Rindge?) And old glory used to practically log the transaction of ammo, not sure if they still do. Maybe a couple other places. 90% of NH shops don't card for anmo unless you look very young.

I've had Walmarts ask for ID before. The one in Woodsville mentioned it was a new nationwide policy, but I kind of doubt it.

Honestly I will admit to not setting foot into a Walmart since they basically banned all of the common usable calibers outside of 22LR.. and 12G

I take it this press and some visits by the G men likely had something to do with the paranoia. A couple of hours in a dark room with a lamp in your face "You recognize the two individuals that entered your shop? How many boxes of 9 mil did you sell to these killahs? We have ways of making you talk."

They were the Izhmash Saigas, I owned one in 7.62 and 5.45, SO was 7.62 and when I bought my 7.62 it didn’t come with a factory mag
