This is a Lenco Landcat armored vehicle, made in Western Massachusetts by the company that makes the Bearcat, which has become quite popular with SWAT teams.
I'm surprised we're not seeing these on the streets in use by civilians, especially in this day of riots and civil unrest.
Makes sense to me because gas is cheap right now, big SUVs are making a comeback, and Merecedes is still selling their $100k+ G-Wagons after over 40 years of production.
Imagine rolling up to the drive-thru window at DD's with one of these puppies!

I don't think they are available for purchase by us "civilians".

Club I belong to puts on a Mopar show in Enfield Ct and was this past Sunday. Was about a 60/40 split of new generation/old school. Quite a few new gen Challengers, Chargers, 300's, a Viper and lots of old school A, B, C and E bodies. The blue 1970 Hemi Challenger was my favorite of the show.

I'm not sure if Ray is on here... he's a good guy. I met him when he first got that car. He'd take it to all the C&Cs at Lars and all the YR events and various SCRT cruises for charities. He would let just about anyone sit in it and poke around. Very casual about letting kids have a turn in the seat.

The Larz Anderson Museum Member Car Day is amazing, but less amazing this year with a limi of 40 cars and no spectators. Behold the Spyker.View attachment 392408View attachment 392408View attachment 392409View attachment 392410View attachment 392411
My only experience with seeing a Spyker in the wild was one time coming home from work and thankfully I had taken the Charger SRT that day. I'm tooling home on 91 North around the Enfield area when I could hear a weird sounding car coming up from behind me and a very unusual looking car. I was thinking to myself what the heck is this? I've never seen it before. So I slowed down to let it catch up and it turned out to be a Spyker C8. Man what a beautiful car. Once he passed me well, I might have allegedly caught up and kept up while tooling along 91 lol. It's definitely a seriously cool car and it looks awesome in person.

Amazing collection of cars......so cool. My dad shows me pics and tells me stories of his 1969 (maybe 70?) 440 Charger from back in the day. One car he says he still regrets giving up.

Unfortunately the muscle car thing never bit me. I appreciate them, I admire these old ones, but even these new ones that handle amazing just don't do it for me. Something about a less powerful but light tight handling car gets my shorts tight. Or anything 2 door Porsche. Might be because he ended up giving away the Charger to get into a little manual BMW E30 coupe.....which 25 years later became my first car in high school!

Looks like something that would have come from the factory in Australia.
That's actually way cool looking.
Tell me why a small Ranchero pickup type vehicle wouldn't sell in the US ???
They've been selling "Utes" in Australia forever, both Ford and GM (Holden) built them there for decades.

Here's my 72 Challenger 383-4spd. I just got it back on the road after a Covid project of converting it over to fuel injection. Put about 50 miles on it so far this week and running good. Working out the rattles and still have plenty to do on it.
