I know! And you'll also hear Zora yell "FINALLY!!!!!" from his grave.
My wife's brother just bought a nice C7 (used). Her other brother said, "You know I sell those, right? But you went to a Ford dealer!"
C8 reveal: Wow.
Okay, I'll wait to see some actual lap times and performance specs, as well as hands-on reviews, but... wow.
The only thing about the cockpit that I'm not sure about is that odd long linear climate control strip. They didn't show how it's used, but it looks needlessly complex. The other stuff looks like it's easily set before driving, and then it's easy.
@VetteGirlMA's link didn't work worth a crap. Either Chevy's web design sucks, or they didn't buy enough bandwidth to meet the demand. I wound up going to their Youtube channel to watch the videos directly.
Paring it down to the main videos worth watching:
Most shocking realization: the youngster says, "We're bordering on 70 years of this vehicle."
Ummm... The Vette is older than me by a decade, which means I'm pretty old.
I'm surprised they don't yet have voice actuated controls of such functions.
I'm equally impressed by the new car. They really did an awesome job on the design. It's also got a price point around $60k and they said they have even more powerful versions waiting in the wings. Honestly I'd be happy with the coupe and the engine dress up package.
I'm also curious as to how that long strip of buttons will work as well. The C7 has a really nice layout of controls. I wonder if the C8 has the secret compartment as well.
They have a site to send in the pre-order and although I did this with the C7 that I had I'm reluctant to be an early adopter this time around. My 2014 launch edition car was in the shop for the first few months getting fix after fix before it was running well. I really don't want to go through that again.
Mixed bag for me. Not technically just looks. Ive Appreciated Corvettes holding out on joining the European look. Gone is long front hood of america’s premier Musclecar forever . But what do I know. I also wasn’t a fan of losing the pop ups either. I’d love to drive one!
They showed the camo version on the Nurburgring. Now that the wraps are off, I can't wait to see how it does.
I expect to see them clogging the Kanc at parking lot speeds in Autumn 2021.
A GSX-R750 will do sub 3 second 0-60 for $10,000, if 0-60 is important to you.
It’s about the most meaningless spec there is for a road or track car.
0-60 to me is more about getting off the line, putting the power accurately to the ground and being able to control it. I did a drag race with a hellcat charger once vs my corvette grand sport and although the charger clearly had me on HP, he couldn't put it to the ground and was fishtailing like crazy off the line. In the end once he got the power down to the ground I was pretty much in trouble although I did manager to keep it neck and neck. It's one of the reasons why I like corvettes
Shippin’ out to Boston.
Impressive, and exciting
Beautiful! Enjoy it!
Headed up to Lee Speedway for El Camino Night. 40 Elcos registered to show so far!
Sons of Italy car show in Wilmington has just begun. Lots of cars. Good show.9-2, cars still rolling in.
I salute that brilliance!
C8 almost sold out for first year's production run!
Going, Going, Nearly Gone: The 2020 Corvette Stingray is Almost Sold Out - OnAllCylinders
My son would be all over that camo vette
More Vettes from my phone:
Looks like the Vette has lost a little bit of weight off her ass
for 2020. Emphasis on little because that’s still a big ass!
Separate names with a comma.
