I see that they have a fixed stock carbine version, but I'm wondering about that barrel extension for neutering purposes.
The barrel extension is blind pinned. It has to be "permanently" attached or it would be an SBR. So if it is good enough for NFA purposes I would assume it is good enough for AWB purposes.
But is the integral muzzle device on the end of it a "brake/comp" or "flash suppressor"?

It's neither. It's just a tube.
The issue is going to be magazines. You would either need to find pre-ban Colt 9mm magazines (expensive) or 10 round magazines.

The issue IMO is price. Pretty sure I heard these were around $1500.
Looks like I was wrong. I thought it was a solid tube, but it does have slots in it:
So that does raise the question of brake/comp vs flash suppressor.

$1589 for the fixed stock version, plus shipping and FFL transfer and tax. Ouch.

Yup it isn't cheap. Less than an MP5 clone though and that is the competition. This would be a good choice for free staters for an SBR suppressor host. I think it could easily be made MA compliant.
POF MP5 clone from Atlantic is $150 less:

That would be kind of neat if it were $500 less and you could get parts for it. You know, like an SBR length barrel and folding stock.
1) The barrel already is SBR length. You just need to drill out the blind pin and remove the barrel extension.
2) They sell a model with a folding stock.
