So I finally decided to just go for it, and start completing my AK's.
They are not finished, but screw build mocked up...
Background:
These are kits (AMD63 on the bottom and some romanian AK on top, so I think), I purchased off of gunbroker almost a year ago, maybe more. I bent the flats I purchased about 1 year ago.
I've spent the last week finally doing something. The most consuming time is prep work, and making sure you have the right tools. Once you do, everything goes smooth. But it's getting those tools ready to work for you, and not against you.
Pressing out the barrels was easy with the right tool, and pressing them in was a snap...
To finish:
Take apart
Trimming of the rails, and magazine area
Nice Looking Cap head screws
Paint Receiver
Put back together
Drop in the guts
And take another picture
About 1/2 days worth or work or so fiddling with them.
