AK drum reliability

So my best friend got into PA school and is moving to NH. I want to set him up with a welcome to NH care package. I have a box of Lancer clear 30 rounders ready for him but I feel like that would be neglecting his AK. Not being an AK owner I have no idea where to start looking for a good reliable drum mag. Who makes a good one? Year of manufacture unimportant.

basically just grab whatever. the romanian ones are better than the korean ones, but the mag probably won't be used enough to where it'll matter. it'll get loaded up and dumped a few times a year if that.

I have a norinco drum...well Chinese anyway that took some serious heavy use all through the 90s.
It also reliably cut the shit out of someone every time it went to the range. That spring is sharp!
