air soft question

My friend is a FPP , him and his son are deep into airsoft matches. His son is the dedicated sniper for his “team”
He came over one day to use my Crony and test his new rifle and scope. It pretty much looked like a legit Win model 70 . I was surprised
1. By the consistency of the velocity 2. How often he was dinging the 2” spinner I have at aprox 50 yards.
He went off to england to play in airsoft games last summer, germany and IIRC holland ?

I find that hard to believe.

Two summers ago, a previous camper had been messing around with one
at the campsite we rented at Golden Beach on Raquette Lake.
I picked up a couple dozen pellets out of the dirt and duff during the week.
(Left 'em on the fireplace in case some kid wanted to play with them).

Last year I found a few more.

This year I found yet another (yellow).

Didn't look "biodegraded" to me.
